After the Rain, a Return to Good #'s and Diversity

With the remnants of Tropical Storm Erika finally passed, we saw a return to more normal early-season numbers and good diversity, with 40 newly banded birds and 8 recaptures, of 14 different species. Movement was high for Common Yellowthroats and American Redstarts today, with Prairie Warblers and Painted Buntings not far behind. We also banded our fifth Yellow Warbler of the season and our first confirmed Willow Flycatcher.
