Fos: Brown Thrasher, Northern Waterthrush, and Eastern Towhee

It was your typical mid-August morning at Captain Sam’s, hot, humid and slow.  We ended the day with a total of 8 new birds and 10 recaptures, comprised of 8 species.  Highlights of day included a family Northern Mockingbirds, and our first of the season Brown Thrasher, Northern Waterthrush, and Eastern Towhee.  There are no major changes in weather forecasted in the near future, so we will likely see a similar capture rate for the coming week.
