A Slow but Steady Day at Captain Sam’s

 CAPTAIN SAMS

Today was a slow but steady day at Captain Sam's which resulted in 20 new birds and 6 recaptures from 11 different species. We caught the usual suspects like Painted Bunting and Prairie Warbler but also enjoyed banding a beautiful young Acadian Flycatcher. Tomorrow will be the first day of banding at Little Bear and we're keeping our fingers crossed for some interesting catches at its three new net lanes!
