Captain Sam's
It was a slow morning out at Captain Sam's with 20 new birds and 7 recaptures of 8 different species. We got a late start due to some rain showers that prevented us from opening nets before sunrise. Unfortunately, this pattern looks to continue into next week but it will give us time to repair some nets before the next big push.

Little Bear

It was record day at Little Bear with 5 new birds and 7 recaptures, making it the slowest day of season thus far.  Six species were represented in the 12 birds captured this morning.  Today was also the first day we were able to operate all of our nets in almost a week, thanks to a shift in the wind pattern.  Sadly, the shift to southerly winds is not favorable for producing migrants in our area.
