October 14, 2014

It was a slow day at the banding station with only 20 new birds and 27 recaptures.  I believe this may have been the first day this season that recaptures surpassed new birds.  The forecast for tomorrow is looking a little grim at this point. A cold front is forecasted to move through overnight bringing with it a fair amount rain that will likely linger through most of the morning.  If there is a break in the rain tomorrow, we will certainly be out banding to see what new migrants the cold front brought with it.
