Banding Marathon

 CAPTAIN SAM'S

Against some very strong protests from my body, I decided around midday to do a banding marathon and keep going until dark.  It was quite windy during the morning hours which kept bird activity low.  The wind died down to next to nothing around 1:00pm so I thought maybe the afternoon would be better.  It was slightly better - I caught 27 birds prior to 1pm and 29 birds after.

After yesterday, I thought I might be done with Tree Swallows for the season but they were back again today, and I managed to get 8 more.
