With 85 new birds and 2 recaptures, today was our most productive day! We caught a Magnolia warbler and a Gray Catbird, two first of the season species. Our two most abundant bird species captured today were the Common Yellowthroat and the Red eyed Vireo. During the last hour Aaron cleared a new net lane to replace net 21, so we will be back up to the full 26 nets since the storm hit.

Little Bear
Things finally picked up at Little Bear! A busy start turned into our biggest day of the season so far with 126 new birds and 11 recaptures. Common Yellowthroats were our most-caught bird of the day, and some highlights included a Magnolia Warbler, a recap of the Black-billed Cuckoo we banded last week, two Yellow-billed Cuckoos, two Cape May Warblers, an early House Wren, and two Common Ground-doves. Looking forward to some more busy days to come!
