Little Bear ready to go!

Captain Sam's
After cooler weather the past few days, the heat and humidity returned this morning and looks to stick around for awhile. This resulted in a slow day at the banding station with only 13 new birds and 7 recaptures of 9 species. We did have time to set up another net, bringing us up to 25 out of our 26 original nets. The last net will take some work because we have to clear a new net lane since the old net lane was destroyed by fallen/uprooted trees. With another slow day expected, we hope to make progress on it tomorrow.

Little Bear
Half the crew spent the morning setting up all the nets at Little Bear so banding will resume tomorrow!
