FOS Blue-gray Gnatcatcher

It was a nice, breezy morning out at Captain Sam's, making it feel a little cooler. We captured 19 new birds and 2 recaptures of 9 species. We continue to catch several northern mockingbirds per day, so they must have had a good breeding season. The highlight of the morning was a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, which we do not catch many of during the fall since they like to forage for insects in the treetops above our nets. Also, we were able to make it out to the Little Bear banding site after banding and put the rest of the nets up. We plan to start banding out there on Wednesday!
