Winter Birds Are Arriving . . .

Today was somewhat uneventful, with 58 new birds banded and 33 recaps (20 of them catbirds).  Catbirds are now the most numerous species at KIBS as most of the Common Yellowthoats have moved through to more southerly latitudes.  We did not get any first-of-seasons, but birds of note included a Brown Thrasher and two Blue Grosbeaks.
