September 11, 2014

After big days like yesterday, we often experience a dip in bird numbers the following days. That being said, today was still a fairly productive day with 55 new birds and 2 recaptures of 11 different species.  Today we experienced a small influx of unbanded Painted Buntings and Red-eyed Vireos.  Though as always with this time of year, Common Yellowthroats were our most numerous species to be banded this morning.  We expect the next few days to be similar to today with only light movement of birds into our area.
