Captain Sams:
It was the first day of the season for KIBS and the new banders were thrown into it. Despite weather in the high 80s and some wind, there were 52 birds these technicians got to handle. From the usual Cardinals and Painted Buntings to some bright Prairie Warblers and Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, the station kicked off the season with a bang.
