Tropical Storm Nicole - No banding today

Even though "hurricane season" goes through the end of November, it is uncommon for a storm to form in November.  Since 1950, there have only been 35 named storms to form in the Atlantic.  Going back to 1851, only 10 tropical storms and 3 hurricanes have struck the US during November.  Therefore, Nicole is quite a rare event.  Luckily for us, the storm is tracking west across the panhandle of Florida, then making a 90 degree turn to the north across Georgia and into the upstate of South Carolina by midday tomorrow.

We experienced wind and rain for most of the day with "extra high" high tides.  Tomorrow's weather is expected to be much of the same with most of the storm clearing out of our area by Friday evening.

Banding will be cancelled again tomorrow but we will be back at it on Saturday.
