3,000 birds and we haven't choked yet!

An overcast morning that prevented the viewing of the meteor shower soon revealed plentiful bird numbers that finally brought us to over 3,000 new birds this season. We had one special repeat visitor from last year, a Yellow-rumped Warbler (Myrtle) that was banded on November 8^th 2012.  In the midst of the morning rush, we captured a Hermit Thrush and a Song Sparrow, two first of seasons that we should see more of as the season progresses.

After hearing their calls all morning, we finally caught this lovely lady at the end of the day, leaving us with a total of three first of seasons in all!
