Captain Sam's:
We didn't have many more birds than yesterday and were generally catching the same species until I came across a new suspect in a net! A good ole Swamp Sparrow graced us with its presence and we will expect many more to come as we progress further into the fall as they over-winter in South Carolina. These guys are relatively short distance migrants compared to many of the species we have already captured.

Little Bear:
Today was much like yesterday; we captured 35 birds, mostly Gray Catbirds. Unlike yesterday, we had no cloud cover and almost no breeze. The temperature soared quickly, and we ended up closing earlier than usual. Check back in tomorrow for what should be a much more exciting, post cold front, blog post.
