Captain Sam's

We had a good day at Captain Sam’s with 65 new birds and 10 recaptures, comprised of 16 species.  Hurricane Matthew has forced us to take down both of the banding stations.  Depending on the track of storm, it may be a while before we are able to setup the stations again and resume banding.

Little Bear
Out at Little Bear we had a good day as well, with 104 new birds and 14 recaptures, representing 16 different species. Gusting winds affected us much of the morning, as we had to close several nets early and were unable to open three nets at all. We have our fingers crossed that we will be able to return to the site early next week.
