The rain ended around 10am so we decided to open the nets for a few hours. I wasn't really expecting a lot but still banded 10 new birds and had 10 recaptures of 9 different species. The highlight of the day was a striking HY male Northern Parula. Unfortunately all three of my camera batteries were dead and I couldn't get a photo.
We are supposed to be hosting the Charleston County Master Naturalist class tomorrow morning. There is more rain in the forecast for tomorrow. Hopefully, we will be able to get out for a little while.
