Today we experienced a slight increase in bird numbers as well as bird diversity with 45 new birds banded, as well as 7 recaptures, of 19 different species. Red-eyed Vireos were the most abundant species banded followed by Common Yellowthroats and Prairie Warblers. The highlight of the day for me was getting to band a Common Ground Dove, a species I've never had the oppurtunity to band in the past.
