FOS: Least Flycatcher and Chestnut-sided Warbler

Captain Sam's
Today was a slow day but we did get a few exciting captures like a Brown Thrasher, White-eyed Vireo and a Chestnut-sided Warbler. We spent part of the day mending nets since the capture rate was low. It looks like it will continue to be slow for the next couple of days.

Little Bear
Today was slow though not as slow as Captain Sam's. Driving out to the field site early this morning a Nighthawk flew up in front of our truck, which was nice to see. We did get two Blue-gray Gnatcatchers and a Least Flycatcher both of which were new for Little Bear this season  We closed the nets a little bit earlier today due to heat and winds kicked up a bit. We are sill waiting for the first cold front to come through!
