Today we started out really good. We had a total of 76 newly banded birds and 9 recaptures. It was nice and overcast, making it great for birds! Hopefully the weather continues to be great!
We did get to see the Tennessee Warbler again that was captured yesterday. It was really cool to see that it stuck around for a little bit.

Little Bear
We had a great day today at Little Bear with 110 new birds and 5 recaptures of 21 species. A storm formed north of us that provided us with cloud cover for most of the morning and allowed us to stay open longer and catch more birds. The highlights of the morning were a Blackburnian Warbler and a Scarlet Tanager, both first-of-the-season's between both sites. We also had a first-of-the-season Northern Parula for Little Bear and a late Prothonotary Warbler. The common yellowthroats have really started to come through as well, making up most of our birds banded with 47.
