One final banding session with the gang!

 Captain Sam's:

Today was our final day as a group! It's been a slightly somber day because of that but it's exciting to keep a close eye on everyone to see where we all go from here. This season has been so wonderful and full of laughter and cool birds. Today was a good day of reflection since we weren't catching too many birds. I think my favorite birds of the season have been our Chuck-wills-widow, Black-throated Blue Warblers, Canada Warbler, and Mourning Warbler. Honestly though the more I think about all the cool birds we've seen at either station this year it really is hard to pick, some individuals of s species had a story or an interesting extraction that just give the whole species a pleasant memory. I've had a very pleasant time sharing some of our cool stories on the blog as well as share my haikus with the viewers. So here's one last haiku for this season!
