Keeping it 100

 Captain Sam's:

Lots of exciting things happening on the island today! Some good and some not so good! Our morning started off great with chilly temps and yellow rumped warbler chips. On our more solemn note we had our first of season American Robin barely in net two and it slipped out on us before I realized what it was in the early dawn light. We’re having a good run of birds the last few days, today we broke 100 birds, not something I expected before I left! I’m addition to all that’s happening at the station the island had a state first record of a bird last night: Lesser Nighthawk! As always the rare birds seem to find their way to the ocean course and that’s where this bird was seen, definitely hoping this misplaced bird sticks around!
