One Hundred and One Days of Banding

 CAPTAIN SAMS

It was another slow day of banding on "The Spit" with 4 new birds and 11 recaptures.  The morning started out with a stiff northwest wind which continued for most of the morning.

Northwest winds continue for tomorrow but it shouldn't be as blustery with winds predicted to be around 8-10 mph.  It will be chilly with the temperature dropping into the low 40's.

Note:  All banding, marking, and sampling is being conducted under a federally authorized Bird Banding Permit issued by the U.S. Geological Survey’s BBL
