Can't Say We Didn't Try!

 Captain Sam's:

Today was another day like yesterday at Captain Sam's except with fewer birds and an even higher tide. The wind never died down today so it made for a pretty rough day for us as banders. We did manage to catch some birds but they were for the most part recaptures. Fortunately to add a little excitement to the day we caught another Sharp-shinned Hawk. We also attempted to catch another flock of Tree Swallows with little success but the day for our big capture is coming, I can feel it! Hard to be certain of the conditions tomorrow but they certainly seem severe enough to where we won't even band at Captain Sam's.

Tides got us stranded

Nets blowing from side to side

Tomorrow looks worse

Little Bear:

Again today was too windy for Little Bear to open up today and certainly will be tomorrow. Hopefully we can open back up on Sunday or Monday.
